These groups build systems out of the standard mold to promote institutional strategy by bringing the right information to the right people under rules that all constituencies agree to. Financial Assessment.
DC LLC can help you understand
your institution’s financial strengths and weaknesses. Having
pioneered ratio analysis and financial projection modeling, and
applied these concepts in challenging consultation and accreditation
situations, DC LLC can assure clients a sophisticated view of their
financial situation and a timely response strategy. Financial assessments
are important preparations for accreditation and administrative
transitions. Occasionally, an independent observer is required when
internally-generated indicators are in conflict.
System Assessment. DC LLC has broad experience
with administrative software specifications and requests for proposals,
online business system design, strategic organization design and
student financial service design. Many campuses have desired a more
rigorous approach to system creation than their own people are able
to provide while remaining dedicated to their work. DC LLC is not
affiliated with any vendor and provides an unbiased assessment.
System Implementation and Project Management. DC
LLC has experience in designing and leading the implementation of
administrative software systems, financial systems, student financial
services systems, strategic initiatives, market approaches and campus
relocation and development projects. These medium-term projects
often take a set of skills, including detailed project plan development,
task force facilitation, vendor coordination and system configuration
that university administrators get little practice in. DC LLC can
design and/or coordinate the project and allow administrators to
focus on keeping critical systems running during transitions.
Location Assessment. DC LLC has developed a series
of approaches for assessing demand and facilitating site acquisition
teams. These efforts include lease or purchase negotiations, site
assessment, student needs assessment, academic planning coordination,
renovation or construction planning. These efforts require medium-term
intense guidance, best done by someone less concerned with day-to-day
operations.
Transition Services. When the opportunity to select
a CFO or other finance and administration staff member arises, a
needs assessment may be called for that reflects the opportunities
and weaknesses of the existing operation as viewed by experts.
Team Facilitation. We can provide skilled facilitators
to keep task forces on track. DC LLC relies less on so-called team-building
exercises, and more on a style of facilitation that takes contributions
of each team member while on task and magnifies it in such a way
that contributions are built by the team with a full awareness of
the process.
